Brenda - 12 year old female German Shepherd Dog

Brenda is a wise, gentle and very sweet-natured elderly German Shepherd Dog aged 12 years old. She was brought to Derby RSPCA Centre because her last owner was no longer capable of looking after a dog properly. She urgently needs a warm and caring home where she can see out her days with people who simply love her for what she is* -* a sweet, gentle, very lovable girl who asks nothing more than to be allowed to potter about quietly and exchange affection with her owners.

Losing your home at the age of 12 can be very upsetting and disorienting for a dog, but lovely Brenda is bearing up quite well under the circumstances.* However, the sooner she can find a new home with very special and understanding owners, the better.

She needs to be rehomed in a quiet household where everyone is old enough to treat her kindly and with the respect due to an elderly and intelligent dog.* She would also need to be the only pet in the home, because she prefers not to mix with other dogs and her attitude towards cats and rabbits is unknown.

She will not require a large amount of exercise, but at the same time her owners will need to make certain that she doesn’t become at all overweight.* Her coat will require regular grooming.* Brenda really is a wonderful, lovable and very, very beautiful creature.* She thoroughly deserves to be cherished and treasured for the remainder of her days by somebody very special indeed.

All the staff and volunteers at Derby RSPCA Centre love and respect her enormously.* It’s been a real pleasure and an honour to make the acquaintance of such a very lovely dog.
Could you offer this sweet, gentle creature a home in the twilight of her life?

Same here Lynn, it is just so sad, how terrible for her to be separated from her home and family at her age
