Bella - 2 year old female German Shepherd Dog

Bella has come to us out of the dog pound.* Previous owners surrendered her - but why oh why to the pound where there is a possibility of pts??** Since Bella has been with us we cannot fault her.* At some time she has had alot of training put into her, either that or she is just a naturally obedient dog!* Her obedience is lovely.

She even does neat ‘heelwork’.* She sits, downs, gives paws and off lead she just stays so close to you all the time, she is very loyal - in fact when Keith (my partner) walks her he has not had her on a lead once.* She meets and greets dogs and people fine.* We think a nice working home would be ideal (maybe an obedience home as she is obviously a natural?, but a pet home would be equally nice for her).* Bella is also brilliant around horses and is good with children, not tested with cats yet.* She travels very well.* Bella is spayed, first vaccinated and chipped.

Why is this poor girl needing a home?? I hope she gets the home she deserves with people who will look after her forever!

Oh my goodness she is a stunner and she would look so beautiful sitting next to my Khan. I really wish i was in a position to rehome another gsd although we're having enough problems with the guy we've got.
Oh i want her though - i must stop looking at these!!

I am very tempted to offer this girl a foster place, with the full knowledge that I might fail and not want to let her go. I've looked on their website and they would prefer to home round Surrey/Sussex/Kent, but would rehome further afield providing checks/references stack up.

How people can 'dispose' of a loving/loyal/intelligent pet is beyond me.

Update

Unfortunately Bella won't be joining us.

The rescue don't need us they have had 18 calls on her already and are making a decision this week with homechecks week after.

I know I'm gutted, but the important thing is that she will have a new home for Christmas.

I'll keep you updated.
