GSD Rescue & RSPCA
Take a look here for full info:
rspca fail to help dogs in distress
I received an email from a friend of mine today asking me to get involved. I have emailed the RSPCA directly stating that I am appalled by the clear lack of care and assistance with these two dogs'. I don't expect to receive an answer, but as it has been stated time and again, the more people that get involved in the complaints, the more likely these dogs' are to receive the attention they desperately need.

You're not alone! In my experience of them they have proven to have too much money for their own advertising and not nearly enough time, money and man power on why they were set up in the first place, it's truly disgusting! I have emailed them with a 'no holds barred' response to their complete lack of care!
Let's see just what comes of it!

Its funny because its now hard to find anyone with a good word to say about this charity and so many people have withdrawn their monthly donations.

My experience of the RSPCA comes through a chap at work. He phoned them regarding three, very thin, sorry looking horses that had been abandoned, and I use the word in it's loosest sense as the owner was around, in a field next to where he walks his dog's. He saw them over the course of a few weeks but the crunch came when it became apparent that they had been left with no food, shelter, blanket's and they had kicked over the two small bucket's (presumably for water) that had so thoughtfully been put out for them. He was advised, after explaining that they couldn't even drink, (get this) to not give them any water until an RSPCA inspector could arrive and evaluate the scene, but no timeframe for this evaluation could be given. Of course he disregarded this advice as it was obvious from the state of the poor horses that they were being mis-treated and a drink could have no impact on their general health, only help. It did make me wonder what kind of compassionate person would withhold a basic need from any living being, let alone a charity set up specifically to help animals in distress.
Incidentally the RSPCA did arrive (eventually) and I believe the owner is being prosecuted. Will probably get a slap on the wrist and a ban, which of course he will fully adhere to. Sorry to sound so cynical about the RSPCA.

It's so sad to hear more and more stories of abuse
I am yet to receive a reply to my email from the RSPCA.

i am shocked to hear of this! From the point of view of someone sat at home and see's the adverts and stuff on tv and about the place, you expepect that what they advertise they do but clearly not! This should not be allowed to continue!
At least there seem to be some people out there who will do things about it. like independant rescue places and such, If i had the money to i would love to open my own kennels and take in rescues as well as boarders.

I hope Mark Evans (RSPCA chief vet) sees this. Obviously spending his time ranting on about Pedigree 'mutants' is a far better use of charity money than saving these poor pitiful creatures

Most of the funding that the RSPCA recieve dose not actual go to the shelters, There are about 6 shelters funded by the main RSPCA funds. The rest have to raise their own funds on their own under the brand names of the RSPCA.
