Max is an 11 year old German Shepherd gent who came into Oldies Club care as an emergency after his elderly owner had a fall and broke his hip and wasn’t found for several days. Very sadly we’ve since heard that his owner died. Max is a wonderful friendly, laid-back placid boy – as well as being incredibly handsome.
He is currently in a foster home in Watford and his foster mum adores him, but we now need to find Max a permanent home or another foster place, as he gets quite upset about being left while she is at work; he really needs someone around most of the time. He also insists on going upstairs with her at night and sleeping at the foot of the bed!
Anyone around most of the time who would like to open up their home to this wonderful old gent?
Max was overweight when he first arrived, but is now a sensible weight which has made his mobility much better and he has come off the pain relief medication that he was on for pain in his hips. In fact he is almost a new man! He just needs the chance to start the next part of his life. Max is not keen on cats and is choosy about the company he keeps when it comes to other dogs; he has lived with other dogs in the past though, so with careful introductions he may be able to again.
