New rescue.

we are PAWS N, CLAWS

originally founded by Debbie about 6 months ago with 2 friends, I got involved about 8 weeks ago!

we are based in Wigan and St. Helens, have room for 4 dogs in newly built kennels but prefer to foster all animals in a home enviroment. we are always looking for foster cares and need the help of homecheckers (posted in another thread)

to date we have re-homed 1850 battery hens, about 20 dogs, and 20 kittens and lots of small furries, I have fostered a dog and 3 rats and ended up keeping them all, I now have 5 dogs (2 gsd's and 3 rough collies) and 18 rats.

All the animals that come into our care are seen by our vet and recieve any medical treatment, including worming, fleaing and shampoo and grooming.
some animals only need the minimum vetrinary intervention but some need more specialist care, we will never re-home an animal until it has a clean bill of health.
Until now our only source of income has been donations given to us by new owners, but if a person is offering the right home to an animal they will not be turned down just because they can't afford a donation, this happened recently, it cost £150 to treat a dog and the new owner couldn't afford a donation. the priority is to get the animal re- homed with the right person!

here's where you guys come in, if there is anything at all you can do to help we will be very grateful, anything at all, if you hear of an animal needing assistance please let us know and maybe we can help.
we have re-homed dogs are far away as Glasgow and the other end of the country, Sussex, (thank god for the internet)

we are doing a sponsored walk in Blackpool on 22nd November, from the south pier to the north pier, its only a mile and up to now we have 20 dogs attending, the press is also involved and I have contacted the local tv stations,

Please come, everyone is welcome, should be quite a spectacle, GSD's taking over Blackpool prom

If you can't come I can still e-mail you a sponser form and maybe you could get your friends to donate a few bob. every single penny goes back into the rescue for vetrinary bills.

ArchandEbs will become famous soon enough
I hope you get lots of support. I'm so far away I can't help but I think it's absolutely wonderful how many animals you've helped.

AWw Hillary your a super star in my eyes. I really admire what your doing it must be so rewarding for you, Debbie & the others.

The walk on Blackpool prom sounds fabby, if I did'nt live so far away I would certainly be there with my gang. Blackpool Tower was one of my first words, as a kid it was favourite place to go, LOL.

Hillary, I wish you well with your new project.
