Monty is an older male German Shepherd Dog, it is unknown how old he is but we would think he is about 10 years old. He came to us from a council pound in an awful condition. He was suffering from bad Kennel Cough, a nasty Ear Infection as well as problems toileting. These problems have been seen to by the vet and he has had medication for them and has recovered well. Monty has also not been fed well or excercised well in a very long time. He is not very strong on his back legs but the muscles are gradually and will need to continue being built up.
After all he has been through in the last couple of weeks or so he has remained a complete gentleman being good with everyone and everything he meets. He is good with people of all ages however due to his age we wouldnt want him to be around toddlers. He is also good with dogs and is in foster with both a male and female dog. He has met horses and didnt seem too bothered as well as cats – interested but friendly.
Monty now deserves his final home so he can curl up in front of a nice fireplace on these colder evenings. Although he is happy in his foster home he deserves a home of his own and not to be stuck in rescue.
If you can give an excellent home to Monty then please do consider this older and gentle boy. There is no set donation for Monty as a good final home is more important.
