Skye and Dexter are two lovely 4 year old male and female German Shepherd Dogs have just come into rescue – these two are extremely lovely dogs with no issues and because of circumstances they have to find a new forever home. I should imagine they are feeling devastated – they have been in this home since 8 week old puppies together – they are not litter brother and sister but have been brought up together and because of this we want to find them a home together.
I will explain the circumstances on why they are coming in to prospective new owners but its nothing to do with the dogs just very sad. They are both neutered and will be full vaccinated and mirco chipped before they go. Their owner has given me her own write up and I am just going to copy it out as it will give you a good insight into how lovely these dogs are…

Dexter
Dexter enjoys playing ball, Skye does join in but prefers to chase Dexter chasing the ball! Dexter likes his home comforts and will quite happily sit on the sofa with you at the end of a long day, he will even get into bed with you if allowed. They do enjoy their walks, but need some additional training on the lead, as they tend to both pull competing to be the one in front. Off the lead they are good and on the whole come back when called but will go and greet other dogs that are being walked. They travel well in the car. They are house trained and when at work, they are left all day and are fine. Skye is greedy with her food and if allowed will eat Dexter’s share as well and he usually let’s her. Inside the house she tends to wear the trousers but outside he takes control.

Skye
They both love being brushed and playing with water, Skye especially will play with bubbles at bath time and insist on being sprayed with the hose pipe. They are both brilliant with our son who is 3 years old. Skye is very mothering and will allow him to lie and sit on her. Dexter is good with him too but will walk away when he has had enough. They enjoy a play fight in the garden which sometimes can look quite rough. Dexter enjoys his vegetables and will beg for a carrot when preparing a roast dinner. When first greeted Skye will jump up with excitement but will settle quickly. They both bark when the door is knocked or when they spot someone walking a dog near the house. They have both been neutered, Dexter had to be done as only one of his testicles dropped. They are both good with visitors and not aggressive in any way. Skye can be playful still at times and if shoes are left around she has been known to steal them and take them out into the garden. They both eat dry food, I usually put fresh food down in the morning and they tend to pick at it throughout the day. Dexter prefers to be in the presence of people when eating.
They are both brilliant dogs.
