Elsa :-(

Its taken me a few weeks to post this here and even to come and read any posts . My Elsa died a few weeks ago it was an accident but i do feel it was my fault, she got attacked yet again by another dog at the park near me she totally freaked out and got out of her collar and ran. She ran out of the park and got knocked down by a car. I feel i didnt protect her. I miss her so much. She was nearly always with me and i missed her if we went out somewhere without her. I cant believe i will never see her again. When i feel more up to it i will maybe put some more pics of her up. Another reason i feel guilty is that we brought another puppy home a couple of days ago because i really miss her and i thought it might help but now im not too surre if it was too soon, shes really cute but i feel so guilty. What else can i say but i miss you Elsa and im so sorry baby.

Oh I am so sorry for your sad loss. It must have been an awful way to lose you baby girl but it serves no one to blame yourself.
It was an unfortunate set of circumstances that no one could control.
I think you should do your best to invest all your love into your new pup and stop feeling guilty for Elsa.
Sending hugs to you xxx

Awww bless ya, please don't blame yourself, it's the fault of the people who let their dog attack yours, not your fault.

We lost our soul mate 2 years ago, went straight out the next day + got Boris. I won't say I didn't feel a tad guilty + I thought I'd made a mistake, that I couldn't love anything as much, but Boris is now my soul mate too.

It's the best thing we ever did, you can't 'replace' + you'll never forget but you have to stop feeling guilty + concentrate on getting lots of pleasure from your new bubba while he/she is little

Sending you a big hug (+one for your bubba of course)xxx

What a terrible thing to happen. Rest in peace Elsa.

I understand that you blame yourself as I would too if it had been my dog. But only you know the circumstances of this tragedy and what, if anything, could have been done to prevent it.

You now have a puppy to care for so love it, look after it and try to prevent the same thing from happening again as we all, hopefully, learn from the tracic events that happen in our life time.

Thank you for your kind words they make me cry.. I know i will not be walking in that park again thats for sure. We went for as opposite as possible with new puppy because i dont think i could have had one the same as her so did not look for a black and tan even though they are my fav. I cant help but still compare her to Elsa though as to me Elsa was perfect .
