Maizie was 3 years old, she had had two tumors removed during her life.

Last week I took her to the vets because of a swelling on her face, she had an inoperable tumor in her cheek reaching behind her eye, which had caused her to lose her sight.

the vet wanted to put her to sleep but I refused as she was still lively and playing with the others.

I fed her baby food seperately and she was coping reasonably well.

Today the swelling was below her Jaw and when I pushed it gently the infection inside her mouth swilled out.

I syringed her some water and gave her a bath, she went to the vets in my arms and was pts shortly after.

she was a beautiful friendly little rat and I am going to miss her, I have done the right thing by letting her go.
