I work in an office, in fact a company full of men. The only two women are me and the MD but I have learnt over the last twenty years that they can be even bigger softies (and gossips) than females!

I found this one and it did touch me..

When God had made the Earth and sky, The flowers and the trees,

He then made all the animals And all the birds and bees.

And when his work was finished, Not one was quite the same.

He said, 'I'll walk this earth of mine, And give each one a name,'

And so he travelled land and sea, And everywhere he went,

A little creature followed Him Until his strength was spent.

And when all were named upon the Earth, And in the sky and sea,

The little creature said,'Dear Lord, There's not one left for me!'

The Father smiled and softly said: 'I've left you till the end.

I've turned my own name back to front, And called you DOG, my friend.



And I'm off and crying at the pc!!!!

I find writing poems helps me when we lose a pet. This one was for Jack when we had our new puppy; and I wasn't coping very well.Sorry for a long post and probably very childish.

My head could burst,my heart could break
A new life I know I should make
Sweetheart I miss you, with a void untold
My lonley arms for you will never hold

I hope you are happy, i pray each day
Happy content, pain free, Everyway!
You came in this world with beauty and grace.
Your wonderful gentelness, your stunning face,
Not just on the outside, your beauty within.

Without you by my side, its hard to begin.
