Taz ha gone

Hi all, havnt posted before but always have a look about the site which is great, took my Taz to the vets yesterday, im so upset he had to be put to sleep. The vet found a massive tumour on his spleen, he had been attending the vets regular over the last 8 months but they thought it was his immune system attacking itself which they gave him steriods for, was told yesterday the steriods just masked what was really wrong, i couldnt believe how he in front of my eyes he lost weight so fast over the last 4 days so quick then hes gone. As a family hubby and 3 teenagers and 1 other beloved GSD we are missing him so much it is devastating he had been part of the family since he was 6 weeks old he would have been 11years in march i just cant stop crying, i couldnt sleep all night got up and came down and no Taz it is awful, my other dog she is only 11 months and doesnt understand where he is she keeps wanting to go outside she must think outside, sorry for rambling but i cant forget the look on his face, im devastated.
thanks maria

So sorry to hear your news Maria, there are a few of us on here that have lost our dogs to Heamangio known as the 'silent killer' as by the time any clinical signs show it is too late to treat.
Thinking of you dont blame yourself or your vet, the only true way of knowing if your dog as this is surgery.
Pam
