RIP Rudey
We had to take me last little rat boy to the vets today to be PTS. He has been showing his age for a while and last night was struggling to walk and we discovered a big lump on his neck.
Run free rudey, give Richie, Dave and Johnny our love

Thanks everyone,
It has been upsetting, especially as he was the last of four all of which we have lost quite recently. The o/h has decided it would not be a good idea to have any more small furries, so I have to go home and dismantle the cage for good tonight. I am absolutely dreading it. Sarah

We first had rats before we had the dogs and we used to let them out the cage the moment we got home from when we went to bed pretty much. He thinks (and I suppose I agree deep down!) that it’s not fair to get new rats when we cannot give them that sort of time out anymore with the dogs around, specially Sophie as she is so clumsy!

Yeh i can see his point, my hubbys sis n mum between them have 8 rats, they have a black lab collie cross and they let the rats out in a room n just shut the door so he cant get to them as he is petrified of them bless him!!
