Too Those who have loved and lost.
Just a little poem, to all who have lost a beloved fury kid lately, thinking of you all at this sad time.......................
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food and water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigour;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing
they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together,
but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent, his eager body begins to quiver.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass,
his legs carry him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then together you and your special pet cross the Rainbow Bridge.

I can't even begin to imagine Diesel not being here, in fact even thinking about it makes me cry and he's only 4!!!
My heart truly goes out to all those who have lost a furball...xxx

Aw sorry, dont want everyone upset, I just feel I need to post this poem again, as its so fitting, and so many members have lost a fury kid lately, Dalton is my life, he is my reason to keep going when times are hard, I cant imagine life without him, although I know one day I will have to.
But I feel the pain of all those and wanted to say, we are here for support.
we are one big family here, everyone out to help aid and comfort each other.
ok waffle over now lol
xx

It's a lovely idea for a post and I hope that anyone who has suffered a loss lately feels they can get comfort from us on here, we after all do understand their heartache....xx

I often check the forum at work as a guest (misuse of company internet I know but we all do it) , and this afternoon I had to leave my desk as eyes were tearing up and the way the lump was forming in my throat I didn't think I could pass it off as hayfever.
We lost our first GSD two years ago end of this month and, as much as we love Clay, he still has a special place in our heart.
Absolutely beautiful piece of prose - really touches the heart
