When First

[Grampac]

I was out in the back yard to day to fill the bird feeder, clean the bird bath and take down some of the now withered annual plants. As I was performing all these tasks I couldn't help but remember how Keerah just had to help (especially with the birds). I would open the garden shed to get out the bird feed and Keerah always had to do an inventory check.
Lawn Mower - check
Shovels- check
Rakes - check
Table saw - check
My Long tie off rope for when I'm in the front yard - check

To think she won't be there to help brought me to do yet another post

When first you bend to pet me
and find I'm no longer there
When first you rush to greet me
and only stop and stare
When first you find my toys
still hidden in your bed
When first you start to call me
and shed a tear instead
When first you find me snuggled
still deep inside your heart
When first you sense me watching

brush soft against your skin
