Brandy 1995-2010 RIP

Brandy and her brother Whiskey were the first 2 animals we got when me and Belinda got married, we rescued them as kittens. Sadly Whiskey had to go to heaven a couple of years ago due to cancer, this was a difficult time in the household as he was most definitely "top cat" even over our previous GSD Remy. Brandy was never going to be "top cat" in the house as she was more of a loner than any of our other animals but she loved Remy and would climb on his back and massage him before getting comfy in his fur. She was badly affected when Remy passed on. Over the last couple of years she lost her eyesight, had to have most of her teeth removed due to infection and most recently was on medication for high blood pressure, hyperthyroid and low potassium level. Today she seemed her normal self and wanted fuss and food, I fed her at about 11am between posts to Gizmo about meeting up with the GSD's, at about 11.30am I went upstairs to do my business before taking Asbach for a walk to do his and Brandy appeared to be asleep on her bed, I stroked her head and then her belly and noticed no breathing. Despite all her difficulties she was a good girl and didn't even make us come to the decision for her. She is, and always will be, greatly missed but I know she is with Remy again in a better place.

Im so sorry to hear this, they hold a special place in our hearts and I hope it is of some comfort to you that she went peacefully with dignity

So sorry to hear of your loss it's a very sad time.We lost Bonnie our cat on 22.11.09 so i know how you are feeling.she was nearly 16 and had diabetes . I'm sure Remy will look after Brandy as I feel Billie is looking after Bonnie.

Thankyou all, I know that whatever problems she had with her health are now all gone and she'll be more than happy with Remy and her brother until we get there.

Such a pity it has to happen, dont they always leave such a big hole in our lives
