Is she ok

Hello again, more questions!
Kenzi is doing really well, started training last weekend and she was very good. She is putting on weight, 12.5 kg yesterday @ 13 weeks, and looks well. We have had quite a few visitors with dogs and she absolutely loves them and the people, very friendly and easy with them all. Can be very wimpy at first with big dogs but then calms down and the tail starts wagging. We even took her to an open air music do at a local pub for a few hours, great socialising and experience, she was very nervous at first but after lots of petting from many strangers she settled down and even fell asleep!
Our last visitors left on Monday with their dog who Kenzie followed everywhere. We have noticed that in the last few days she is sleeping a lot and although bouncy and mad at short times, nothing like normal. She is also not really interested in going for walks, ok once we are in the fields but when we are on the way home, she can't wait to get back here. Is she just growing up or is she pining for her adored friend (who by the way was very patient with her but did not play with her at all). She tends to get up at 0600, have a short walk, then breakfast, and at the moment she then sleeps for a couple of hours, then a bit of training, then lunch, then another walk and play, then she falls asleep again and seems really really tired after her walk (20 mins max). She is asleep now and will have tea at 1600, then probably another sleep then a play for hour or so before final meal. I am concerned because before this she would only have very short naps during the day whereas now it is hours at a time. Should I be concerned or am I just being paranoid??
Love to hear what your GSD pups were like at this age.

Thanks
Fiona

LOVEGSD is just really niceLOVEGSD is just really nice
I'm not sure I didn't get Diesel until he was 4.5-5months old and he was very playful....although I would expect them to sleep a lot especially if they are very active in their 'awake' moments.

I'm sure others with young pups will let you know what they think.

can anyone advise please

Can anyone give me their experience of pups at this age.
I am thinking now that maybe we have been overfeeding her a bit.
We give her 400gms of Royal Canin Maxi junior food, spread over 4 meals.
She is looking good on it! and enjoys her food, Very much!

Really appreciate anyones input.

Thanks
Fiona

Ozzie went through stages of sleeping loads as he was growing, sometimes he would just sort of power nap and other times he would be dead to the world for hours! Just keep an eye on her and make sure she is eating and drinking plenty, and if you are really worried, take her to the vet. I am sure they won't mind even if it is to put your mind at ease.

sami is a jewel in the rough
Sami as a pup was a complete pain in the backside. She slept for an hour played for 15 mins and then slept for an hour then played for 15 mins ... you get the idea.

I must admit Kenzi does sound a bit quiet for a pup. When you first posted this I was inclined to think she was just exhausted from all the fun she'd had with your visitors. If she seems otherwise healthy then I wouldn't worry.

As regards the food I dont know that much about it, mine have always had a bowl of kibble down all the time. I do know my sisters full grown labrador (who admittedly is on a diet) gets fed 400grammes a day.
