From nutty to calm!
I posted here before discussing our pup, Xenos', panicky behaviour outside our walks. Well, tried a few remedies and finally someone told me that all we need is something called "Rescue Remedy." We started becoming wary of these natural remedies, but this one is for humans (and can be used on any animal as well). We gave it to him 45 min before our walk and he had NO fear! The first time we put in with his food and nothing happened however. I guess we diluted it.
Also - I asked this question before but didn't get any responses -- our GSD has a thin tail (no long fur on it like other GSDs). Is this common? He is the first we've seen with a non-classic GSD tail. A silly question, but it has us baffled!
Thanks!
PS seeing all of the photos of your pups here is so sweet! Lovely group!!

How old is Xenos? Ozzie didn't start to get a bushy tail until he was a good six months old! Can you post a pic?

He is just over two years and three months old - oh dear. He is very short-haired generally, but I assumed the tail would fill out. He has AKC papers, his mother is pure GSD and his father's history is listed as timber wolfe (Xenos is a wolf hybrid - but no one bothered to tell us this until he was over a year old!).
We love him nonetheless - but the tail really makes me wonder.

Aww he's gorgeous, I have to admit his tail doesn't look very bushy....maybe it's the wolf hybrid in him???

Wow, look at those ears! I think Lynn is probably right, and the wolf in him means he won't get as much of a bushy tail, but he is still gorgeous!

His father's tail was bushy. And from the records, both of his parent were around the same age or younger than Xenos when we went to retrieve him. The breeder said it was her first time breeding GSDs and by the time the pups were 3 and 4 weeks old - she began selling them off! We ran to get him after she called us threatening to kill Xenos - he was only 6wks/6dys old. I get many calls everyday from breeders in the US who either tell me to stuff it or threaten to dump the "runts" off somewhere. (I am a journalist - animal/human rights).
Something is terribly off here. Looking at your photos, I am starting to really wonder if he is mixed with something else.

He definitely has a gsd head! His feet appear quite dainty though, may just be the photo. Well done for saving the poor boy!
