Work on recall more. When she comes to you mix it up, so maybe give a high value treat, or an ear tickle, or a toy, ball whatever. So she knows coming back = nice things.

Tone of voice. Say her name in an excited tone to recall her (this works with mine who can go deaf if there's prey about). If I shout in a concerned (desperate!) way she totally ignores me!

I do what Sue says as well, run in the opposite direction or sometimes hide out of her sight and blow whistle for recall.

Diesel recall is great unless he sees a rabbit or squirrell or cat!!!!! If he is on a group walk however he is 100% and will round the other dogs up??????

So its a long line if we are anywhere near a road for us - just in case!

Where I usually take him though its all fields and then he's fine - he is improving especially if I have his ball!

Heather has a spectacular aura about
We've had our rescue dog for a couple of months now and although I let her off the lead I have to be really careful when we get to the way out of the wood because she suddenly darts off towards home and there's no stopping her. What I'm doing is whistle training her so that if she suddenly takes a head for home I can call her back.
