pink nose
Can anyone tell me why Mishka's nose has got a pink area on it, started tiny but is slowly growing. Not bright pink, so she is not turning into Rudolf, just a dull brown/pink.

Your signature says that Mishka is 6 months ?
I've had this before but they have usually grown black by 18 months.
Same with pink pads.

Our babies nose went pink, on the edge of her nose, just before the fur if that makes sense. Now she has a black nose. Even our vet asked what she had done. She had done nothing, just a part of her growing up.

my Kane his nose went pink and we were worried so took him to the vet - my husband didnt like what we were told so changed vets - but his nose wasnt pink for long a couple weeks maybe three - we decided to see what happens - it went black again
could possible be that your dog was playing with sticks in a field somewhere maybe and scratched the end of the nose - thats what we think may have been the case with Kane.
my hubby thinks the vet may have been after more money - surgery for nothing maybe ?????
I am not too keen on the new vets to be honest!!! such a dilemma i want to change back but will give it a bit longer and see what happens

could b a scratch
or snow nose with recent weather, the cold can affect the pigment in the nose and usually comes back no problems

Diesel's lost some of his pigment, I took him to the vets for something else and asked them to check it, as Beki said it could be snow nose or she could just be losing the pigment in that area. Diesel's hasn't got worse, I was told to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't go scabby otherwise I was told there's nothing to worry about.
