Cup of tea ?

Hi all
I was told the other day to give Sheba some tea. This was from someone who had had GSD's in the past as he said that it would be beneficial for her coat. Is this an old wives tale or is there some truth in this ??

Hi Lynn
No if I tried it I would only give it black. Just wondered if anyone else had heard this or had experience one way or other

A friend of mine when she was about 6 was told to give her horse treacle because it was good for its coat.

She covered the horse from head to foot in it! Took them ages to get it off!

Not heard the one about the tea though.

Lynn I dont think its a problem for dogs to have milk but I think its because they cant absorb anything from cows milk, so I was told anyway by a vet years ago.

Is caffeine a good idea for dogs...?

Sounds a bit like a tale to me - there are so many of them about, yesterday a neighbour told me the best way to give a dog a glossy coat was to feed it butter every day! No thanks

Ah ok I'm not sure I'd give it though, I'd rather feed a good diet for a glossy coat.....the point about the caffeine is a good one
