Don't use Duchy Farm Kennels! Word of warning

Before I got Joker I bought an outdoor run, £1000 worth from Duchy Farm Kennels. They came and put it up on time, onto a concrete base my husband put down.

It is awful. Two weeks in the roof felt blew off and hubby had to attach a new roof because of the poor quality.

The timber is supposed to be treated (for 20 years according to their website) and not need any further treatment - well it had only been there for 5 months when the tongue and groove all parted - you can see daylight through every wall. The thing looks as if it's been there for 20 years not 2.

I called them about it and threatened them with trading standards as they kept putting me off and putting me off, then not turning up when they had agreed to replace panels and the roof.

I have now given up even though by law I can get three quotes from other businesses to put the kennel right but I just don't have the time to pursue it, and I wouldn't want those useless sods with their poor quality rubbish again anyways, my hubby's going to put it right, but let that be a bit of advice to any of you who are buying dog runs/outdoor kennels.

Left like it is I bet it wouldn't keep my two in for much longer and they're not in it that much!!

OMG that's disgusting!!!!!!! I really hope you can get some money back or the very least have the kennel fixed.....

Let's hope that by spreading the word that they are a company to avoid, you will hit them where it hurts - their wallets!

I just can't be bothered with them, it annoys the hell out of me but we are just going to get shoddy work done if they come back so we might as well do it ourselves. I just didn't want anyone else to get a crappy dog run/kennel from these people.

thats really bad i looked at there kennels a while back as well and thought they looked great but thats changed my mind now, i got a kennel and run a about 5 years ago for my now exs greyhounds only cost me 175£ with delivery and was a great one and lasted ages and when we split not long ago it was still in great condition and looked like new
