Puppy collar size.

Would a collar with circumference 22-34cm fit an 8 week old GSD pup? WGSL, not the massive English lines ones - not sure how much difference there is in pup collar size there lol!

Buying all my things now, pups are 3 weeks old so get to meet them next weekend Argh!

Thanks x

Sully Monster will become famous soon enough
Speak to your breeder - some pups come with a puppy colar that will start you off. Then you can buy one of your choice as s/he growns. Also your breeder might have more of an idea of what kind of size the pups are expected to be????

A good breeder would welcome you `bothering them`,..its an important follow up question

Its been a long time since I had a pup here, but just remember that which ever type your finaly get,..that pup will grow at an incredible rate,..so I would suggest, a large-ish flat collar, and check on it regular.... but not too large that it will catch on things as the pup gets into all those little places

Awwww bless your heart, I was the same + spent a fortune on gorgeous pink collars for Tilly, she wore most of them a handful of times + one never !!!

Trust me, wait + get it when you've got your puppy, you'll save yourself a fortune

Don't worry, she's fab Comes with the Pam stamp of approval lol! She just hasn't had the chance to respond to my last email yet (think it's in her spam box because she can't see it on her iphone), though we've been texting and stuff, think she's at work at the moment. I thought if anyone would know about something like that(other than herself), you guys would

8-12" sounds about right... Think I might just get it It's only £2 something on top of the lead so.... Not the end of the world if it doesn't fit

I want to be doing a lot of lead walking in the house and garden before 12 weeks anyway, and hopefully he won't be tooooo overexcited and forget all his training when we go on our first walkies after he's vacc'd. I will be carrying him around places getting him used to everywhere I'll be going.

I really do hope I don't completely balls up his training lmao!

Any good ideas for healthy, hgh value treats I can use? I'll be raw feeding so don't want anything with cereals etc.
Cooked chicken, cooked liver, cheese, carrot....?

Thanks everyone x

J&J is on a distinguished road
LOL with pam at your side, you won't be going wrong on the training..

I good habit to get into is to check fitting every time you put the lead on, just pop you finger underneath the collar to ensure it's not getting two tight..

It's a habit that is so ingrained into me now, I actually still do it, even though my two are now fully grown

I'm lucky as hubby does curb my spending on the dogs... Sadly he won't allow me to buy Ellie a pink collar and lead
