the colour red

do any of you have dogs that dont like the colour red?? its only been recently that iv noticed pappy wont go any where near anything that is red. he tries slipping out of his collar if he sees the colour. tried walking past a red car earlier, and he went mental. even the red poop bins, if i try to put a poop bag in one..he shakes his head to try getting free from me. i washolding a red jumper earlier, and he wouldnt even come into the room i was in.
i read somewhere that dogs were colour blind.. so i find this very odd. iv only noticed this since he was attacked. he may have been like it before, but i never noticed. i know there is a red car that always parks near where he was attacked, but i cant remember if it was there the day it happened. which would explain why he doesnt like the colour. but then, it doesnt make sense if dogs are colour blind

Even if dogs are colour blind, which I think is correct,..I would still think that they would be able to tell a `red` car, because every colour would have a different shade,...they just ree it differently.

I have not heard of a dog disliking a certain colour though

My sole mate I hate Red I knew there was a reason i love him so much they do say dogs are colour blind but i often wonder if a dog might process colours diferent than what human does nobody can realy know for sure just how a brain works

Aww Lynn, he's getting in touch with his feminine side!

I thought dogs weren't colourblind but see altered colour compared to us as the receptors in their eyes are different.

My nan's dog hated navy blue - she rescued him as a pup from his owner who was drowning him The man was wearing navy blue overalls.

yes he's very in touch with his feminine side

Isn't it funny though that they seem to recognise colours, I'd love to know for sure what they see though
