Kane and training happy update

A few months ago i posted to ask about training Kane - had a few probs with him with motorbikes and dogs on leads opposite side or ahead

Well .........................

thanks to his trainer Louise progress has been made and he no longer pulls me into the road after a motorbike nor does he react to a dog on a lead or in the garden when i use the LEAVE it command

Ok I realise that there could be a day when things dont go to plan but

Kane had a training session yesterday with Louise and she brought her dog along who Kane has been getting used to

Well Louise was pleased with the progress he has made and the way he walked past other dogs and even followed one up the road with no reaction

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh i knew I would get there eventually with him. He does however react to cats occassionally.

thought I would give the kind people who took there time to ansa my thread those few months back an update and appreciate their advice also thanks

I love him to bits and he is a good boy now!!

i hope to one day let him off he lead when hes alone with me and let him run free - we do take him but its when he is with his Dad who he listens too lol

anyone want a good trainer let me know what area you live in cos i would recommend kanes trainer to anyone who lives near me

It would be good to know what she did to overcome the issues of pulling at other dogs and motorbikes... please.

advise as req re dogs and motorbikes

Motorbikes well she said to pull the lead downwards hold tight near to collar with lead and stand still - it worked with kane only did it once and then i used the leave it command I use a training lead so it is attached to both halti and collar incase halti comes off.

i taught him leave it with treats first put soem on floor gave him one or two as i said leave it then said take it - worked lol

same thing with dogs on leads on opposite side LEAVE said sharp and with low voice. Takes time and may look at dog and become as if skipping but eventually patience from you saying leave it will work - god knows if i can do it anyone can lol

i wish you luck where do u live cos if u live in same area as me i can give you my dogs trainers no if u like

i got to tackle walking past a dog now on same side and then work on lettiing him off loose as not confident to do on own with him

I use a training lead maybe use one of them until you get the dog used to motorbikes and dogs -

amazing the progress kane has made with the right trainer
