How many times a day are you feeding her?

Do you feed the Wellbeloved food dry or do you mix it with the tinned food?

Did the vet (or the rescue you got her from) not give you any advice on feeding?

Sue

As a puppy you are free feeding (leaving food out all day) and giving her set meals there should be enough food out for her if she's hungry. I am however not a big fan of free feeding I think in IMO it can make dogs fussy. At her age I would be feeding 3 times a day and feeding the recommended amount on the food packaging. She certainly doesn't look underweight even with all that fur if she was underweight it would be obvious and it does seem that she's coming along well, don't worry too much as long as she's eating enough and is quite happy.

about 1.1KG per week of age could be taken as a rough guide, for the first 6 months, but only a rough guide.

Most people recommend having set feeding times for a puppy or dog, perhaps as many as four feeds for a pup like yours.

If it isn't eaten in twenty minutes take it up and wait till the next scheduled time before re feeding.

I have never had this problem with a pup, usually they try to eat the dish as well as the food.

Your puppy looks very cute, it's hard to believe the difference 6 months will make.

Hi and welcome to the forum. You have a very cute pup! Did she come from a breed rescue or general rescue?

Did you have her checked over by a vet when you brought her home? Has she been regularly wormed. She looks fine in the photo you have sent, but as Chip said I have always found pups to want to eat anything and everything put down for them.

I wouldn't free-feed either, but would be feeding small regular meals, probably 4 times a day at her age. With our pups I give a couple of meals of soaked kibble, one meal of milk/raw egg mixed and another of raw or cooked mince.
