Bleeding mouth. Help please!

Hi all as some may know I have a GSD pup now a week shy of 5months old. Basically her mouth bleed alittle over christmas and her first tooth came out the other day. Is it normal for them to bleed alittle?

I must stress she hasn't got blood pouring from her mouth, just if she steals a tissue or has a chew, theres alittle blood on it when I get it out of her mouth.

Is this normal? Is there anything treatwise I shouldn't give her while shes loseing her teeth?

Many thanks in advance.

Liam and Ruby.

Don't worry, it sounds absolutely what you would expect at this age and during teething.
Some people give their dogs ice cubes to chew when teething but basically just let nature take its course.
They can have teeth hanging on by a thread and it doens't seem to bother them.
Look forward to losing those nasty needle teeth that hurt your hands so much. x

My Mason is just starting to teethe at the moment, he likes ice cubes, but I have also been giving him cold carrots to chew on and a pair of old socks knotted together, soaked in water then left in the freezer for a while. Not so that they freezer solid, but just so that they are nice and cold and he can have a good munch on them!!

Its fine , Maisy's got all of her new teeth now, her gums bled too, as did Zeus's.
I gave mine icecubes and a frozen knotted facecloth to chew on....Zeus chewed on it for hours when he was teething, he had a set of teething rings too but Maisy wasn't so keen. She prefered rope toys to gnaw on and when I was out any wood she could get her gnashers round

Don't worry, it's totally normal. Isla is teething at the moment too and her mouth is a right state but she seems to get some relief from ice cubes and frozen kongs and fabric things such as old facecloths and towels.
