Cleaning up after your dog?
It is something that got me thinking when i was taking a walk a round the local park today.
Thankfully there are two doggie "biz" bins, i have read there doesn't seem to be many around.
What are the best things to have when cleaning up after your dog?
At home and when out.
( I was told that some "biz" bags may mot be big enough to clean up after a gsd . )

I just use cheapo nappy sacks. My two are fed raw, so their poos are nice, small and firm, so I find nappy sacks do the job just fine.
In the garden, I have a little bin with a bag in, and use a garden trowel to poop scoop.

I carry normal black poo bags, I also feed a raw diet, so these bags are plenty big enough for my dogs.
In an emergency once while wearing a new jacket and forgetting to put bags in the pocket, I used a couple of plastic gloves from the petrol station, great if caught without bags
I also use a garden trowl at home then bury it

I use bags from Wilkinsons because they're a lot stronger. I got so fed up with the black ones splitting & leaving me with sh1t all over my fingers!
At home I bury them - someone once said I shouldn't, but the daffodils get better every year!

Up untill now, I have buried them outside my place, which is basicly on the hill, [ most of you know the kind of area I mean ], because someone told me dog poo is not good for the garden,..anyone know differently?

i use the small black dog poo bags - I feed complete and my dogs have small firm stools, I then put the bags in the back pocket of my training vest untill I get home they then go in the bin, inside another back or sack. In Oldham dog feaces can go in the dustbin providing it is double bagged

poo bags in almost every pocket i own now !!! and like most folk it gets took home and put in the bin if there are no poop bins about which there aint round here as, like stuart, we are in the wilds of scotland and they dont put them on the hills !!!
But who else agrees it has got to be the worst lazeyest bad habit not cleaning up after your dogs i HATE it and have even been known to offer people poo bags when i have been out without the dogs as they walk away from a doggi left over with a sheepish look on there face !!!

I use cheap Morrisons nappy bags, only 9p for 100 bags - bargain! They do the job! Diva's stools are mostly nice and firm so easy to pick up. She is regular like clockwork too and will do as soon as we get to the park, etc..usually within distance of a doggie bin so no probs! At home, we pick up, double bag and dispose in our bin.
