Does she have her own comfy spot in the front room with you?, we make sure that our dogs have their own place,..its often when they dont have anywhere of their own that they often look towards our comfy spots

I tried the treat technique but being the clever sod she is she also got on and off just for a treat so phased them out. Her crate is in the living room and she now has a matt too. She only does it with me alone with her. I my OH is in the room too she won't do it. Do you think she is testing my boundarys or a dominance thing?

I don't think it is either.

Sounds to me like she has created a new 'game' that she only plays with you.

Try and avoid grabbing her collar as much as you can, that tends to make them think you are joining in this new game (a bit like a game of tag I suppose!).

ok thanks. Forgot to mention she does it even if we are just sat on the sofa. I'm trying to go and have a wonderful game by myself in the next room to coax her off too
