Gloucestershire Breeders?

Hi all,

Time is getting on an I'm still unsure of which breeder to approach. If there a good breeder that have a waiting list then I need to get a shift on. I don't mind travelling for a good pup so that's not a problem. Im just a little worried that a breeder won't allow me to have a pup due to my working arrangements.

I'm able to pop home in my breaks, lunch times as I only work down the road from home, my girlfriend works part time out an part time at home and my parents are able to pop around if we were unable to be there. Our house is going to be ready to move in by the start of next month but I won't be looking to get a pup until we're back from holiday in June.

Can anyone shed any light? Information overload.

Hi,

I'm not far from Gloucester. I'd like a short coat black an tan straight back as possible.

not sure what you mean by straight back and where you define the back from, the withers are high and slope down to the back witch is level until you get to the croup which again slopes into tail set

are you refering to English lines or the pet lines? rather than German

Timmo when you look at a lot of GSD photos the dogs are placed in a position called 'stacked' this is for showing purposes where the back leg is almost stretched out and sometimes appears the back is quite sloped. However when you see the same of in the flesh you would think it was a different dog. Bear his in mind when you look at photos of parents

with bigger comes more orthopeadic problems a male SL is 35-40KG the 40KG is an above standard height dog, some of the WL are smaller, in the 1920s an average male weight was 26KG - the last English SL (not pet line) I had 20+ years go, was 54KG (musclebone not fat) that is more than double a GSD from the 1920s when they had stopped crossing the races

It is well known here that I am no fan of show dogs with sloped backs much prefering the straighter backed dogs, so I think I know what you mean,... so I would guess that in answer to Pams question you might mean pet lines.

do you want a shape like this
