Looking For German Shepherd Puppy Scotland
Hi all,
Great forum and a lot of priceless info... I am looking for a German Shepherd pup with low hip score genes and all the innoculations etc. etc.but am unsure whether to get a boy or girl. I think i would prefer a long haired boy black and tan (with all black face preferred) but i i know when i go to have a look i'll want both. Ideally i would like to find a reputable breeder in Scotland but if the right pup comes along i will travel south...
I have never owned a german shepherd before so any advice would be much appreciated also any breeder recommendations...
Thanks

Hi,
Crikey, you are after some gold dust there!
Colours change greatly as they age, from baby to mid first months they change alot!
If you are after an all black face, I think you will find you will have to go with an all black full stop! I have one, he's bally bootiful and I want another...now, who was it that was 'dogsitting' an all black lady....
I'm a little 'darn sarf' for recommendation, but good luck on your quest!

Wooferhound is right, their colours change so much, Diesel was quite dark when we first saw him, now he's really cream and his colours continued changing until he was 2-3yrs.
I'm also down south so to be honest I don't know of anyone up North, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to help....keep us posted with your new furbaby *how exciting*

I was going to suggest KC, but in ALL honesty and in MY personal opinion, I wouldn't go there myself now!
Roo came from a breeder who was recommended by a very good friend (also a trainer/behaviourist/vets nurse), so couldn't go far wrong! She also owns a GSD from same breeder and her boy and Roo share the same dad, so could see a little bit of what I might be getting!
And yes...I wanna see pics of Tala purlease

Hi all, thanks for the replies i'm pretty sure it will be a long haired dog pup now i'll get, i would definately rather a pup though that's been raised in a family environment but my concerns are whether a breeder is reputable or not...
I was under the impression the kennel club was the benchmark but obviously not..
Thanks again

Sorry that was confusing....no Tala is owned by Val, who runs that website. Sadly she's not my dog, I just get to walk with them in the mornings and at the moment I am walking her whilst Val recovers from a small op.....
