I should hope I have what it takes, otherwise I'm not really qualified to look after wolves! I couldn't find the GSD site though, all I could squeeze out of the link was the site's usage data which wasn't very exciting.

Oh good it's working now. That's a pretty good website actually, but one thing that strikes me as odd is tattooing, is this what it sounds like? I don't like tattoos.

I always have mine tattoooed it is an excellent form of identification, and can be added to the KC registration papers when the new owner tranfers ownership.

Do you tattoo rather than microchip? Where do they tattoo them? Sorry for all the questions but I'm really intrigued with this as I've never known a dog with a tattoo before.

My fiance's a tattooist so I'm glad I haven't come home and found Diesel pinned to the floor with Dan leaning over him wielding a tattoo machine

Yes have a read here http://www.dog-register.co.uk/
they are tattooed in the ear, as pups, I would only micro-chip if I was competing abroad as its needed for pet passport, otherwise all mine have the tattoo.

I think I would rather have the tattoo than the microchip as it's instantly visible to people, but had to have the MC as you say Pam for the Pet Passport.

Tattoo too

Millie was tattooed in the ear shortly after birth. Brazilian kennels do this as standard.
