Bark in the Park
11.00 am - 4.00 pm
Supported by Animals in Need and Cobalt Housing. The ever popular Bark in the Park Fun Dog Show Classes return courtesy of West Lancs K9 Centre. Pet Ambulance and local animal charities attend and support this annual event, which also promotes the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme. Bring your dog and enjoy the free entertainment on display - maybe even try entering some of the fun classes - you don't have to have a pedigree pooch for this show! Loads of fun and things to see for non-dog owners too!
For more information contact West Lancs K9 Centre on 0151 929 3974.

Metsy is on a distinguished road
dog fun club

I was the Animal Welfare Officer for a London Borough for many years where I was authorised under all animal legisilation and all environmental legiislation and worked on the nuisance team. I did many canine behaviour courses which also included genetics and breeding courses and went to America and stayed with Diane Jessup at the Canine Aggression Research Centre Washington USA to learn about dog aggression and dog attacks and then I retired to Devon and became my sweet Mum's full time carer until her sad death. I have been involved in Bull Terriers for 20 years (including rescue) and because of the DDA I got my first pedigree GSD to guard my Bullies and to protect them from being stolen for dog fighting. I realised that there was a need for good breeders of GSD's and ended up with my first pedigree bitch GSD (Primrose) I progressed to her grandchild who was hip scored 3/3 elbows 0/0 and her grand-daughter (hip scored 7, elbows 0/0) I decided to do a COAPE course after many years of studying canine behaviour and decided to start up "Devon Dogs Agility and Fun Club" where I do agility, fly ball, doggy dancing and games (clicker training, no choke chains)...It seemed that there a need in the area and I work closely with Canine Etiquette (APTP) and realised many dogs needed something else to think about and work their minds on top of just going for walks. All of the activities are targeted for all breeds and types of dogs and especially for dogs that have never done any of this type of activity before (pups, rescue dogs or dogs with behavioural problems..or dogs that dont have problems but just want to have a bit of fun) so dont be shy, if you have never done this before ..If you live in North Devon or on holiday here please contact me for further details at Devon Dogs Agility and Fun Club held at the Big Sheep (a tourist attraction ) near Bideford, North Devon (look up The Big Sheep Web site and phone them for details) Insured for public liability with the Kennel Club,
Regards Marretta
