We've been brushing like mad!! Thankfully I have a 7 year old that thinks its his job to do... Lakota thinks hes just getting the full treatment... We'vee been using a new conditioner for the puppies, cause here lately it seems like their coats are getting dry? It seems to be helping a little. The shampoo and conditioner that I have been using on them is really for horses. But I love it..

It might really work great for the white gsds in the forum.. It rocked on our white horse that we had!! Its called mane and tail...

lol, I am afraid the answer is to simply put up with it, our house is the same as all yours I am sure, thankfully the hairs here are not white, it must be a lot worst if you have a white dog

Kee is good, she hardly loses any hair, but the other two are terrible

The joys of owning a GSD,.. or in our case three

Meant to post on this before but didnt get round to it. I have an "Oreck" hoover and wouldnt be without it. They are expensive but absolutely brill on dog hair on carpets. If its ever broken then I think someone has amputated my right harm... its a major problem I go completely to pieces without my Oreck!!

Tone C is on a distinguished road
that the oreck XL or something you see advertised on TV sometimes?

And what do people use as hoovers as ours I fear is no longer up to the job...

And anyone use a dry mop or anything like that?

Yes it is the oreck XL off the telly!! If you are buying a new hoover buy an Oreck you will not believe the difference. My carpet can be covered in white fur when they are both (all 3 at one time) moultin and the oreck cuts a swathe through it. When I first had one my son asked it I had had the carpet cleaned it made such a difference!
