Fur...

Okay folks,Molly has spent the last couple of months shedding like mad.1st off it was her undercoat and our house looked like a Western with tumbleweed balls of fur blowing around. And she has then started her top coat going and we find loads of black hairs all over the place.I mean you can hoover and 20 mins later you cannot believe you did it.

Now,she is brushed regularly with the Furminator comb thingy and is still full coated and still seems to leave a carpet wherever she lays down.

What do folks do to alleviate this and do you use any special type of vaccuums or floor brushes etc?

Hi Tone- i'm finding the same with Kira atm- she didn't shed her undercoat too much but now there are black hairs everywhere as you say. I use the furminator but not much comes off with that as it's her top coat that's the problem. She only has to shake a wee bit and the hairs come flying off. I'm constantly hoovering and as we've got marble floors you can really see all the hairs so I brush up too with brush and dust pan(both long handled so no bending over).

Anyway haven't been any use at all there- sorry! maybe someone will come along with a solution but I doubt it. I'm getting used to having a hairy bed lol
