Talking Doggy Fashion

As you may know Zara had her OP to remove a lump on her neck. The buster collar kept making the wound bleed, so i put my snood on her instead.

I am amazed that she actually kept it on for almost 2 weeks. (I tak eit off her when she is supervised to let the wound get aired)

The attitude from the public about having a GSD is amazing as well. Most people would avoid us... cross over, hold their kids.... These days most people laugh, smile as we walk passed.

Think its going to be the new doggy fashion for "status dogs"

I took her for a much needed run and here are some of the pics.

Throw the frisbe mum.....

Aww what a cute idea, she looks lovely and cosy in that! I might try that out on Dex when it gets chilly. He gets so excited when we put his bandana on him, so a snood shouldn't be to different, right??

I know clothes are meant to be a bit of a faux pas for a shepherd, but I always find that Dex gets a much better reception when he's wearing his bandana, particularly from kids. I think it sort of "friendlies" them up a bit.

Funny you mention that because Diesel has a new flashing collar, it flashes lots of different collars and I find people smile at him much more when he's wearing this but I have to say I'm not a fan of clothes on dogs - sorry no offense at all - unless for a medical reason like Zara.

No offense taken, eveyone has different tastes I'd never put a tshirt/coat on a dog (except my parents beagle, who really suffers from the cold) but I do like bandanas. They're not really much bigger than a collar really, and dont impede normal doggy behaviour, which is why I'm happy for Dex to strut around town in his.

(That is, if we hadn't of lost it over the weekend. I'm sure it'll turn up! )
