Nice photos,.... but a little suprised to see you using an extendable lead,... not the most popular leads in the world

 ,...I bet he wasnt.
I guess I could have been a bit unfair,..as it is not quiet so much the lead as the way it is used.
Its often been suggested that people dont use them because of the way the dog may run out and then come to a sudden stop with possible damaging results to the dog,...I personaly hate them
...but if not allowed to run out, and the lead is used much the same as any other then I guess its ok,... you guys would be more careful than many others may be

Because many people who use them are thick and let the dog run riot resulting in them annoying lots of other people and ending up with near dislocated shoulders and the dog a sore neck.
I use them, Sa mi is now deaf as a post and only ambles about anyway. Leo I have never been able to train and let off lead becasue of his previous probs and he is happy knowing I am "attached" to him. If used properly and the person pays attention and watches what the dog is doing then there isnt a problem. Although I have been caught out by a cat now and then, Leo doesnt like cats!!!

Used correctly a flexi/ extendable lead can be useful tool, but too many idiots use them as an alternative to training! There is a lad who lives across the road from mother in law, he has a young but very strong, very lively GSD. I saw him out walking the dog the other day, on an extendable attached to a head collar!!! It is a wonder the poor dog never broke its neck! It ran full pelt to the end of the lead and came to a very abrupt stop whipping his head round in the process!
Lovely pup though! Clever little dogs, but very scatty at times too!

I wondered about the tail don't know didn't ask. We're just looking after it the owners are really nice and came to us because they want the best start for their puppy so as far as I'm concerned they've got the best intentions.
As for the flexi lead thing, I never pay much attention to the scare stories around dog stuff. We've handled countless dogs and never had any injuries, which says a lot considering we do Schutzhund every day of the week since before I was born (I'm 24).
Like it has been said, its how you use your equipment (at least thats what my Clare tells me ).
