My new WL boy is here

Zak arrived yesterday at around 4pm after a long journey from down South.

Considering he is not used to the sounds (or non-sounds ) of the countryside, never been up close and personal with two very excited young children, and probably never even seen a collie, he wasn't fazed by anything. He is a lovely dog with a great temperament and seems very stable and sociable. His recall (and other!) training needs working on sooner rather than later but that is all part of the fun and I am looking forward to getting stuck in.

Here are a few pics.

Zak when he arrived

I took him out with my other dogs first thing and then Ben and I took him for a walk on his own and I will take him out with Yogi this afternoon again, and also start bits of training with him.

Pics from our walk

Thanks both. He is a lovely lad and although he looks tough (I know just what you mean ) he is actually as soft as putty and has a wonderful temperament. I am really pleased with him so far. He seems to be very sensible

I want to do agility with him when he is old enough, as well as obedience training and tracking/searching.

We live in Scotland

super lad, looks like he'll have the time of his life with you. Whereabouts in the south did he come from?

I am pretty sure he will have a great life here My whole life revolves around the dogs and my son, so he won't be short on exercise or attention

He came from Hertfordshire Sal, so it was a fair old trip up to us. He was apparently a star though, and didn't even mess his crate at all on the way up.

Thanks Lutgard
