Here's a picture of one of the boys I asked people to send Christmas Cards

Here's a picture of Lucas and Juno - one of the boys and his service dog Juno - that I asked people to send Christmas Cards.

As you can see there were a lot of cards!!

Lucas has his own facebook page. The family were originally told Lucas would not be eligible for a service dog due to his disability and also the behaviour that goes along with it.

His father refused to accept no for an answer and found Juno at a pound. Juno was due to be euthanised.

Juno almost immediately alerted the family when Lucas' oxygen was running low. Lucas' father has trained Juno help Lucas walk and also to go in the down position to anchor him when he tries to run as he injures himself.

Lucas has also found Juno a great comfort when he goes out and he cuddles her when he feels insecure plus if his behaviour escalates Juno calms him down.

It's such an amazing story and you can see the bond between the two that's so strong.

Thank you for posting that. I did send cards, I have to say with tears in my eyes writing them. Glad to know we could do the even this tiny thing to help.
