Big Bob

My friends dog was in need of a good groom, he was fairly matted abs just a bit untidy so I had him over today and gave him a nice pamper session it was good practice as I do a bit of grooming just as a hobby as I really enjoy it, here's a couple of pics of the old man he's approx 9 and has quite bad HD.

Before

Getting dried, he fell asleep when I was brushing him out and when I was drying him

Looking all handsome

I absolutely loved grooming him, I just let him lie down for the majority and clipped his feathering down mainly as it was so matted, they are going to send him over once a month now so he is matt free and can have his lovely flowing feathering back. He was such a gent.

That's the plan, I am building up m equipment and have all the basics, really good clippers, brushes but need a blaster drier and decent table then, I'll do some more training so I have the qualifications however trying to find a decent grooming school is hard and it's pretty expensive so I'll be a few yrs down the line before I quit the 9-5 for my own wee grooming business, but I'll get there.

It's best to start small and build it up. Too many businesses fail because they borrow too much money and try to grow too quickly.

Word of mouth is the best advertising you can get. Keep pictures of any dogs you groom so that you have an album you can show to potential clients.

Good luck with it.
