Black and Tan
Bi colour, notice the pencil marks on the toes (just visible on Tawnee also you can just see the tar heel black on the back of her hock) True sign of a bi

Correct coat Bi colour

" Sable puppies on the left, notice the dark stripe on the back, Sable the guard hair is black tipped and can be any Gray or Tan base coat, the under coat has to be inline with the colour of the guard hair

Adult sable all correct coats

I think the Sable dog is probably the hardest colour to get right of all the colours,.. not just for new owners but also many more experienced owners.
Dogs like my Kee are the easiest to assess as Sable, but then you get dogs like Sarah`s [Dalton] long haired Sable, that is more difficult for many people,.. and then Robyn`s short coat, which looks completly different to Kee
Can someone explain why these three completly different looking dogs are all Sable?,..I know a lot of it is to do with undercoat,..I can usually tell most Sables, but I do have trouble with others, and I know I am not alone,..so I think it would be good if someone can come up with the explaination,.. because a new owner wouldnt have a hope

It's just the base colour and the Sable coat pattern that make them look different Stuart, you can get the realy dark sables and they will all look different to each other too,

Stuart, Dalton is confusing because his coat kind of looks sable, but lies stripey if you get me, ALthough D is from short coat like Kee, D's mum looks like Helan's Sable with the puppies

Here is my 5 month old pup Mason, who my 16 year old son affectionately calls TOAST, as he is goldeny in parts and black in other parts. Guess that tells everyone what my cooking is like
Hey I think he's invented a new colour

I thought I'd add Diesel into the mix as he's very light in colour....
As a little pup
As he is now...
