Corrie

As we haven't got our GSD yet (but should be changing in the 6 or so weeks which actually takes us to a 8 month wait!!!!) I thought I'd put up a few photos of my parents JRT cross.

She's been great introduction to dogs for my young lad Ethan which means he already knows how to approach dogs (apart from when he is excited, bless his 2.5 year old socks!).

She is 6 in July, forgot to say that's my Dad in the picture with Ethan and Corrie not me lol

The orange ball is roughly 17 years old and came from my Patterdale/JRT X . Its the only toy she hasn't destroyed but could easily if she tried.

Corries muzzle has went really white of late! But she has a great nature since I convinced my parents to change to Arden Grange from Bakers. So thank you forum for that!

Heather has a spectacular aura about
Nice pictures- your wee boy's very lucky to be growing up with a GSD- that's what I tell my kids- I was never allowed a dog when I was a child
Can't wait to see your new puppy when you get it!

I think I am very lucky to be getting the chance to own a GSD never mind my son seeing the companionship a dog can provide. I was never hugely popular at school but Jess (my patterdale cross) was so loyal it beggars belief. Only now that I have been without a dog for 5 years (moving out) I realise how much they bring into your life. Its now apparent Ethan is grown up enough to understand dogs a wee bit better and his lifestyle/ the families lifestyle suits owning a dog. He feeds Corrie, asks to take her for walks when he is at his grandparents.

I grew up close to the breed and always asked for one from about 5yo my parents said. My dad was into his shooting and always had JRT's or crosses so he ruled on that.

So now we finally will be getting a dog I have wanted my entire life I am going to make certain the dog gets a forever home that it will want for nothing. If my son and wife learn the value of having a loving companion then I'll be even happier (but I can tell already through talks my wife is in 100% agreement with me).
