My Cat Shadow

Hello everyone
My Cat Shadow has been displaying some out of character symptoms
The last few weeks we have noticed him hissing, growling and fighting (if we dont get in there first) or whilst we are out with the youngest Odin
Now Shadow usually comes off worst with scratches to his face and furr all over the place.
We have 5 in total all rescues.
Shadow does not have a problem with the other cats and never used to with Odin
He has however been drinking a lot and weeing a lot and not in the litter tray of late (infact as far away from the litter tray as possible) he is fed the same as the others yet he has gained weight
He has 25g of Natures menu every morning and 25g of Orijen every evening.
He hasnt lost his appetite, and looks healthy enough he is 5 years old, and a twin to Rainbow. He also keeps his distance from the others apart from when him and Odin meet on the stairs. And they also have their meals together but no problems then about 2' apart
Thinking Diabetes
Any ideas before I take him to the vets?
Linda x

Caryll is a jewel in the rough
Diabetes would be my first thought, although I thought that typically there would be weight loss, not gain. Could well be wrong there, though.

He has always been a big cat so he could have lost and I just havnt noticed because I see him everyday.
He is a lazy cat and more a house cat, he likes to sit on the doorstep and watch the birds rather than wander in the garden.

Mazz is on a distinguished road
Sorry I have no idea. But I hope your cat is sorted out soon, and back to normal. Pets are such a worry aren't they.

Aww bless, sorry to hear about this change in behaviour. I know nothing about cats but when you said about the excessive drinking and peeing I did think diabetes.....I hope you can get this sorted.

Linda, how old is Odin - could it be Odin is coming into sexual maturity and shadow doesnt like it? You canbuy some drops from pet shop that u sprinkle j to litter tray and the cats are attracted strongly to the smell so he should start using the tray again!

Thank you Hon
I will try the drops Their litter tray is made from crushed walnut shells and has been for a good year now so It cant be the litter im using
Odin is 3 now and 4 in septemeber, Shadow turned 5 in March.
They have always been okay with each other up until a few weeks ago
Its Logan my eldest Male (6 in September) who I would say is the boss
Or should I say My girls Stella (12) and Rainbow also 5 and twin to Shadow.

Morning hun,
Sorry, can't help you with your cat, as I know nothing about them. Hope you get it all worked out though, as I know how worrisome it is having a pet and wondering about their health.
