Your'e not going to BELIEVE this!!!

After spending most of last night worrying and wondering why Smokey hadn't come in yet, i wake up this morning to find her in her little condo outside.

Tried to tempt her out, but to no avail.

So, her condo being a hollowed out set of drawers i pull out the drawer, extract the cat, bring her in for breakfast and she is not putting any weight on her back leg, and the joint at the elbow is about twice the size it should be!!!!!

I swear, if i need to take any more of my animals to the vet she's going to call the RSPCA!!!!

Luckily, i still have some of Bandits anti inflammatory stuff left so i've given her a little of that to try and get the swelling down so i can get a proper look...

but c'mon?!! Smokey too?!!

Probably been in a fight and got bit or clawed, cats swell up easily, this has happened to our cat a few time,.. give her the meds, keep her in for a day or two, the swelling will go down, and she will be right as rain,... no need for the vet

I hope not, Stuart!!

I'm a student, i don't get any more money through until possibly the middle of September and the money i have NEEEEDS to last until then! I've already shelled out over £200 this summer on the animals... i know you need to legislate for these things but i kinda didn't expect to have all three with issues at once!!

I didn't find a job this summer either (never KNOWN it so hard to find work!) so finances are down that way... i just hope i can hold out until September!

Bandits meds seem to be helping, and the foot is still warm.... its still pretty swollen though so she maaaay end up in the crate (which she's going to HATE!) but we'll play it by ear and see how she goes.

Good job i love them, eh?!

When we first got our cat, she often came home in the same state that your is in,... we would always do the same thing,.. a little anti inflammitory med,.. or a small amount of aspirin... shut her in, and she was always ok in about a week.

There is something in a cats claws that make any scratch swell,..it just takes time to go down,... but we never took Pepsie to the vet

cats can cause alot of damage, if you get bitten by one its off to A&E asap!!! hence i dont groom them as it can easily have you out of work as they can really swell up even scratches swell up on me from my mums cats i think they carry more nasties in their claws and teeth than dogs (yes nasties is the technical term haha!!!)

yup, after what happened to Rogue's face i can attest to the nasties in cat claws! I have a claw mark in the back of my hand to this DAY from my other cat when we were 'playing!'

And beki.... grooming cats? are people MAD? lol, if mine aren't sleeping, or eating... they are grooming themselves!!
