In April I collected 6 very scared, thin, quiet and scruffy ex battery hens that had just been released from a battery farm by an organised rescue. They were in a sorry state when we got them, but not as bad as some I have seen. They are almost all refeatherd now and really lovely friendly pets, with the bonus of fresh eggs everyday!
awwww i remember my mum rescuing 6 battery hens yrs ago and they had huge breasts - so much so that they could hardly stand -bless em
