Unhappy Fred is afraid of the train

Fred who is soon 3 yrs old is certainly afraid of the train and the loudspeaker. When hears it, he get all jumpy and wants to make a 180 degrees turn around....have been trying to do this last summer but now with winter....we went the train station just nearby ....LOL..he started getting agitated when he heard the loudspeaker.....any tips on how to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot, Marie

Have you tried distracting Fred when it rains, see if he'll play with you and not focus on what's happening outside??

Ok now I'll try and answer the actual question....

Are you able to distract him in any way? Does he know the leave command? I would try to get that command in before he reacts and then praise and reward for any calm behaviour.

I'm confuzzled....LOL....is he scared of being on a train or the noise a train makes when he's outside?

I think maybe I'll leave this thread alone, I'm not helping and I'm getting more confused

Go have a coffee Lynn and come back later!!

Not sure myself whether trying to get him on a train or the station is nearby and thats what he's reacting to. I think we had better wait for clarification!!
